Technology
The success of a software platform depends on a combination of people and technology. Key to its success is a solid technology infrastructure and plan for the product, in addition to a well thought out implementation methodology that creates a roadmap for the rollout of the technology within an organization.
Cx360 is built on the Microsoft .Net framework, using the Iron Speed Designer development environment. The application is able to run on a base Windows Server 2003 operating system and a SQL Server 2005 database management system, while the reporting engine is Crystal Reports XI.
Implementation Methodology
A successful deployment of enterprise technology is based on thought leadership at the agency level and a well-defined implementation plan. Core Solutions' Six Sigma implementation team members create a complete detailed workflow that outlines your entire enterprise.
Core Solutions recognizes that behavioral healthcare is a business built on a model of subjective services, making it difficult for organizations to track and capture every aspect of treatment—and making it nearly impossible to capitalize on every opportunity to collect revenue.
Core Solutions collects and consolidates all your relevant data into a single, scalable stream that simplifies your business.
EHR Certification
While the debate over "meaningful use" of electronic health records rages on, it has been easy to forget the other half of the requirement for getting government health IT subsidies: Clinicians, Hospitals, and Agencies must use Certified EHRs.
Since the passage of the HITECH Act, part of last spring's stimulus package, the Health IT Advisory Committee, which advises the Department of Health and Human Services on information technology matters, has decided that there should be multiple certification bodies for Electronic Health Record Software. All of them would have to certify EHRs under criteria developed by HHS.
While there are currently no certification standards in the field of behavioral health and human services, Core Solutions is at the leading edge of the topic and is a member of the HHS/HITSP Standards Committee, and has been nominated for the CCHIT Behavioral Health Sub Committee.
Cloud Computing
Cloud computing is an emerging computing technology that uses the Internet and central remote servers to maintain data and applications. Cloud computing allows consumers and businesses to use applications without installation and access their personal files at any computer with Internet access. This technology allows for much more efficient computing by centralizing storage, memory, processing and bandwidth.
Scrum Methodology
Scrum is an iterative incremental framework for managing complex work (such as new product development) commonly used with agile software development. Its goal is to dramatically improve productivity in teams previously paralyzed by heavier, process-laden methodologies. Its intended use is for management of software development projects.
CMM Certification
Core Solutions is currently undergoing certification for CMM through Trimentus. The Capability Maturity Model (CMM is a methodology used to develop and refine an organization's software development process. The model describes a five-level evolutionary path of increasingly organized and systematically more mature processes.
Agile Software Development
Agile software development is based on iterative development, where requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organizing cross-functional teams.
Agile methods promote a disciplined project management process that encourages frequent inspection and adaptation, a leadership philosophy that encourages teamwork, self-organization and accountability, a set of engineering best practices intended to allow for rapid delivery of high-quality software, and a business approach that aligns development with customer needs and company goals.
